Fossil Booking Terms & Conditions

BOOKING AGREEMENT : By booking a tour with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions. These policies are in place to protect our guests, crew, equipment, and scheduled operations. You must be 12 years of age or under to checkout using the discount for children 12 & under. You must have a group of at least 5 people to checkout with the discount of 10% off. All guests must sign the waiver in order to join the tour. 

Cancellations:

We do not offer cancellations for a refund. Once a booking is confirmed, you may only reschedule your tour for a different day 48 hours in advance if something prevents you from joining your original booking day or we reschedule due to weather. 

Rescheduling:

  • We offer free rescheduling with a minimum of 48 hours notice from tour date.
  • If you request a reschedule less than 48 hours before your tour, you will only receive 50% credit towards your next booking. 
  • Salty Bum may, at its sole discretion, allow rescheduling if the change does not negatively impact the scheduled trip or minimum guest requirement.

No-shows:

  • Showing up more than half way through the tour or later is considered a no-show and is non-refundable. If you show up late, you are not entitled to additional time.

WEATHER & OPERATOR CANCELLATIONS Tours are rain or shine but we will pause for lightning. If Salty Bum cancels a tour due to unsafe weather conditions, guests will have the option to choose a new date to reschedule. Safety decisions are final and non-negotiable. Guests must arrive on time and prepared. River conditions vary and fossil finds are not guaranteed. Tours are hands-on and require moderate physical activity.

MEDICAL, FITNESS & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY Guests are responsible for determining their own physical fitness and medical readiness for tours. Salty Bum is not responsible for injuries resulting from undisclosed medical conditions or failure to follow safety instructions. All guests must sign the liability release form. 

OPERATOR DISCRETION Salty Bum reserves the right to: refuse service, modify trip plans and or excursion equipment, deny participation issue or deny credits. All decisions made by captains and crew regarding safety and operations are final.
